Whilst many of us are still in the festive mood, here's wishing all of our partners, friends and you a very happy and prosperous new year! I am sure most of us had enjoyed shopping for new year goodies, mandarin oranges, preparing hongbaos (or collecting, for our little friends) and reuniting with our friends and families just last week. Well likewise, the entire KooBits team have also occupied our time with the necessary housewarming chores in preparation for a merry reunion night with everyone who has come a long way with us, giving us their warmth support constantly.

KooDay 2009, marks the closing of a year of happiness and success on a high note, as well as launching KooBits and its team into a whole new level of challenges - better support and service quality to existing customers, invading of international markets, and of course, producing the best, creative software yet for everyone. Having said that, KooBits 3.0 was officially launched on the event with exciting new features such as Wish Box containing over thousands of pictures that will be called out at your command, Snap Image/Video Capture functions for internal windows imaging/videoing and easy animation editing that could be done in just a few clicks!

But before all the actions of KooShow began, there were welcome speeches made by our genius, mad scientist Professor Sam and hyperactive dancer boy, Stanley.

And then came along our Kooguest speaker, Mr. Yee Jenn Jong, CEO of AsknLearn, who gave us an amazing speech as well which we awarded him with a memento, a KooCoach jacket.

This is just the beginning of the race, let's all run it together! :)

KooBits, an innovative interactive digital media authoring and publishing solution developed by Personal e-Motion Pte Ltd, was awarded the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2008 at the awards ceremony held on Saturday night at the spectacular Plaza Bapindo Ballroom in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Asia Pacific ICT Awards, which aims at indentifying, recognizing and bestowing global credibility to innovative regional ICT achievers who have developed unique ICT products and solutions, is supported by 16 member economies which are Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, People Republic of China, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. This year’s APICTA Awards is hosted by the Department of Information & Communication Republic of Indonesia and ASPILUKI (Association of Computer Software Industry of Indonesia).

Personal e-Motion emerged as winner in the competitive e-Learning category, earning the credit and recognition for its effort in developing an innovative authoring software and an online publishing portal - www.koobits.com - for students and teachers to easily create interactive digital media content, to publish and share them with educational communities around the world, and to significantly enhance learning experience through the effective use of ICT and new media.

I really did not enjoy the job at all. I struggled for the last one month and found the job was not suitable for me. I hate advertising. If I like sth you have passion in it, no matter how much it takes I will rush it do it challenge it. But what I got is just suffering...no...no...that is wrong, totally wrong. I even dun hv the feeling of achieving and effort. There is no reason I have to stay there. I need rest. I am tired enough.

Every one who knows Shakespere must know his most well-known tragedy:
Hamlet and that famous line: To be or not to be, that's a question. As
for Hamlet, to be or not to be is quite a dilemma: he was doomed to be
a tragedy, whether to live or to die.

Perhaps everyone will confront the similar choice to Hamlet in his life sooner or later. To survive
or to die, to fight or to surrender, to win or to lose. He must make the decision himself. Fortunately, I haven't come to that crucial point yet. Up till now, my life is like a smooth sailing. Sometimes I ask myself: do I find the real meaning of life and death? Though I am going to be a biologist, I have no definite answer to that. But still I believe that I did find something in life.

When I ramble along in the peaceful field, hearing the twittering of birds, drifting in the fragrance of wild flowers, I will always praise the beauty of life and feel really happy that I'm still alive. When I learned the mysterious nature and the evolution of life, I was filled
with admiration by the greatness of nature. Life is a bestowing of nature, we have no right to smother, it's a part of universe.

I remember one day, when I felt so frustrated by those misfortunes in life, it seemed that I had done everything wrong and there was no remedy at all. I left home, wandering along the street, feeling sad and hopeless. It was then when I caught sight of the sunset. The sun was like a huge burning ball, flaring and shinning, it was so glorious and so brilliant. Soon the whole sky was flaming, the sun gathered its last energy burning thoroughly, like the solemn end of a tragedy. It
sunk slowly under the horizon, soon darkness fell around me.

I stood there unawaring of where I was. Tears ran down my face. A voice cried out in my heart: "I will wait, till the sun rises again, till the first sunshine on my shoulder." Perhaps that's the meaning of life. Everyone has his own sun and his own dream, and everyone has own
brilliant moment when his sun shines gloriously. We'll struggle and suffer in order to reach that brilliant moment. Nothing can stop us, no matter how hard, no matter how many times we fail. That dream, deeply rooted in our heart, is worthy of devoting our whole life to.

All of us want to see the sun shines again and want to catch that glorious moment to appreciate the real beauty of life. Life is like a long river, it will end someday and somehow. No one can escape from that eternal end, when that day comes, we'll say goodby to this colored world. A man's life is a man's song. Whether it's sad or happy, fierce or quiet, it's his own song. A song written in his own way with his soul, with his life. A man lived, did what he should do, found what he want, fulfilled his dream. He then died calmly. Because he knew that there was nothing to regret. He had seen evil and good, ugly and beautiful. Now it was all over, it was time for his play to close and gave the stage to newcomer. His song was going to end, but it would never diminish, it would become a tiny part of the chorus of the universe, and that will sing forever. Another man lived, struggled, but never reached his dream, for him, life was a perpetual nightmare, then he saw the twilight, they glimmered far in the distance, though he had no time and he would never got there, his heart was quiet, for he knew he had tried his best. His song might only be a faint cry but he knew it was just the prelude to the grand movement of that chorus.

He died happily, hearing the song were sung continue. The world is beautiful, because of warm sunshine and also because of its rain and storm. Only a man who has been drenched with tears can understand the real meaning of happy. Once a famous writer said in one of his novel: there is no real happy in life, but just one situation compared with another. The whole meaning of life lies in two words "hope and wait".

To be or not to be, it's all depends on a man's own attitude to life, on whether he appreciates the morning sunshine, whether he want to explore the beauty of nature. If the thunderstorms come, it all depends on whether he still firmly believes that the sun will rise again. Yes, the sun is going to shine, and it will shine even more brilliant. Do not cry, just wait and hope and fight. Life and death and the sunshine make the world. As they go round generation by generation, day by day, the world go round. Let's sing out our own song lauding life, lauding world.

I do believe I can find another good job. Just do it.

10,000 BC

It was a time when men and beast were untamed and the mighty mammoth roamed the earth. A time when ideas and beliefs were born that forever shaped mankind. "10,000 BC" follows a young hunter (Steven Strait) on his quest to lead an army across a vast desert, battling sabre-toothed tigers and prehistoric predators as he unearths a lost civilisation and attempts to rescue the woman he loves (Camilla Belle) from an evil warlord determined to possess her.

One would expect to set eyes on a lot whole of grandeur when viewing a prehistoric epic like "10,000 BC". One of the more exciting prospects would be seeing cultures, language and creatures of unbelievable magnitude. Incorporating those key aspects, this film easily possesses a great concept, but that distinction unfortunately rests on a very weak script and plotline.The film revolves around a prehistoric tribe called the Yaghal, in a time where shamans were respected leaders and prophecies decreed their culture. Yaghal men hunted woolly mammoths called Mannaks for a living and surprisingly, are very loyal to their women and families. Despite the primitive settings, the prehistoric society is a pretty valiant lot with exemplary virtues, except for the villains of course.

Among the Yaghals, one prophecy resounded above all others - a young girl with unusual blue eyes will appear within the tribe and becomes the key to their salvation. The Yaghals have long suffered a merciless climate which deprives them of food and shelter, and according to the prophecy, the man whom the blue-eyed girl will eventually belong to will be the one to lead the tribe to restoration.Enter a young girl named Evolet (Camilla Belle), the sole survivor of a village rampage who, with her blue eyes, gave the Yaghals hope and catches the eye of timid mammoth hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait).

With the prophecy slowly manifesting itself, D'Leh is plunged into becoming the hero he never knew he could be. When Evolet is kidnapped and taken hostage by an evil warlord, D'Leh paces into a harsh journey to save the woman he loves as well as his tribe.D'Leh quickly becomes a central character, faced with feelings of abandonment by his father and the need to prove his worth to his people. Up-and-coming actor Strait may be the token 'fresh face' the movie tries to sell but his actions prove a little too modern for the setting and Belle probably has more to offer than what her vulnerable damsel-in-distress Evolet allows. Pair the two lead actors together and you get a prehistoric "One Tree Hill".

Cultivating a fictional ancient culture from scratch takes a lot of imagination, and no matter how hard the lead actors try to antiquate their English, it resulted in what sounds like 'surfer dude' slang. On the other hand, the lush traverse of the prehistoric landscapes and creatures were breath-taking, although a man-and-beast face-off many would have loved to see were minimal.

Only three major prehistoric animals were fit into the movie, and each one with very little screen time, which in turn made little impact. So you can forget about this being a National Geographic experience either.However, the movie does have its good points. Character and set design were simply amazing and D'Leh indeed takes us on an adventure across the lands, coming across unique sets of tribes each time - each with their own costumes, languages and beliefs.The journey is a moral one, rather than spiritual. As much as we'd like to root for D'Leh, his travels feel incomplete and non-progressive.

The background plot about his father could have been developed so much more, while giving him the angst he needs to push him further. Devoid of a connection, we can't really attach ourselves to what he endures. What we were expecting was a heroic transformation, but what we were left with is still that timid little mammoth hunter that may well be a wave-riding surfer in our time.

近来遇到比较头疼的一件事情
舍友的母亲与哥哥要来新加坡看望她，很好，很温馨。

住宿成了关键的问题。
一向不懂得拒绝别人的我，就答应了，把我的床位腾出来，我搬出去几天
让他们一家在里面享受家人团聚的天伦之乐。

那么我住哪里呢？
一个月前，和一个独住的朋友争球了意见，可否临时住在她那里，
等舍友的家人一走，我就搬回去。仅仅8天而已。
和朋友商量过后，我们一开始接纳的很愉快。
朋友说只要房东同意，一切就ok,房东人很好，不会有问题。
可是临近2月底了，她还是没有去征求意见。
我和舍友都开始相继催她。
知道前天，她终于问了房东，结果在我的意料中，房东不肯。
理由是，过节了，家里要来人，闲乱。

于是乎我们三个开始想别的办法，
离舍友母亲来的日子迫在眉睫，我又没有地方可以去，很是为难。
现在又是春节期间，这种事情甚是不好处理。

其实一开始我是不情愿的，这房子的合同是我签的，舍友终究是有再多理由请家人来
没有权利让我出去。

她家人于6号晚上到，14号早上走
我11号到15号这一周
全部都是project deadline，非常关键的时刻
也是我毕业前最后一周了。
她本来意思要我住男友那里。
从男友那里过来到学校要2小时车程
早晨8点和9点的课也就意味着握5点多起床6点奔出来上学。
而本来可以多睡2个小时的房间里他们一家人在悠然享受被窝与空调。
我随意的告诉她其实我妈妈不同意我的做法
不想叫我搬出去。她令我非常意外的说：你们家人怎么这么没人情味？
我家人什么时候轮到你有资格去评论了？

我很想问你，就算你忍心让我在这么辛苦关键的时刻奔波
难道你不会觉得很不好意思？

朋友在这时刻也在紧张的到处帮我打电话找地方住
看有没有人可以临时居住一两晚上
结果都是婉言拒绝。而且所有人都说了同样的话：父母来不是应该住宾馆么？

是啊，我也问了舍友。
她说她不想花钱，我说母亲不带新币么？
她非常理直气壮地说，我家人来当然我掏钱。
你既不想花钱，又想家人有合适的地方住，于是就把我原本合法居住在这里的房客挤出去。

我帮她找了合适的宾馆作参考。
在bugis有一家不错的，价钱也不贵。
她都是视而不见，挑三拣四，不领情。

于是我以妥协请求低声下气的问她，能不能给母亲打电话商量一下，
住几天宾馆。
她一脸鄙视的告诉我，住哪里她决定，和她妈商量啥。
后来我说，只能搬出去到10号，11号以后你家人就另找地方吧
她便一脸不爽憎恨委屈的不再理我

反了反了
是你请我帮忙，还是我请你帮忙？
别的朋友听了后气得不行，说你让步让够了吧，也太大方了。
帮人要量力而行，怎么可以这么委屈自。
我觉得这句话很有道理，便放到qq个性签名上。
过了不久，舍友的个性签名就变成，有话当面说，不用放到个性签名中
就这样一个下午我们没有说一句话
平时她对我说话脏字连篇：他妈的你如何如何，你他妈如何如何，你滚，你去死之类的
我已经听了很多，都尽量当耳旁风。
这次你的作为，我真的不理解。

明明是你事情没有安排好，找我帮忙
现在对我这个态度？真是哀哉哀哉。

我是个表面爽朗其实内心孤僻狠毒的人
我一直等舍友和我妥协
始终没有
这样的话，没有必要再谈了，
你的母亲也好哥哥也好父亲也好祖宗也好
房间我一天都不会腾出来了，您请自便。

6号晚上我照样回来睡觉
门外有客厅。舒服的沙发等等，也很凉快。
您不愿意花钱，那是个不错的地方。

临近期末

在外闯荡的3年就要结束了

当初怀着愤恨与斗志离开高新一中那个充满痛苦回忆的地方仿佛还在昨天

时间真快，呵呵

事情越来越多

要参加各种讲座，办理各种手续

2月，学习将不会是最头疼的任务项目

各种各样的手续，包括奖学金合约的延续，

毕业之前的各种学生凭证卡的消磁

文件档案的整理统一

在学校各科的online feedback

各种典礼，讲座的出席，

毕业论文就不说了~~我头疼，发愁……

唉~~烦死了~~

好朋友崔利进回国了，我很难过

愿他一切好运

记得不论在哪里，都不要停下顽强拼搏

在哪里都不好混！！

在国外适应了，国内那种没素质的尔虞我诈要更加小心……

叫我这周三开始代替张晓去做工

其实不想去了

这么多的功课我已经快不行了

还要去打工

我会累死

2月中旬正式辞职，决定了。

貌似开始转运

渐渐的恢复一些了

2月1号参加学校的career fair，

2月7号，工资到账

2月15号，所有的project全部deadline，之后我就自由了

2月29号， IT PROJECT SHOW

我MP的作品要在展厅showcase

希望一切都好起来。

设想一下

为了调整心情

我特意打扫卫生

做了很多家务

洗衣服，换床单，还清洗厕所

之后果真心情好了许多。

在年货摊买了两个小仙人掌，一个粉色一个红色。

以前从来没有养过仙人掌，

希望能给我带来好运。

我要粉色的，红色的送给他，希望也能给他带来好运。
